Pizza on Earth is a wood oven bakery located in the small town of Charlotte, Vermont.  Our pizza oven and kitchen are located at our farm, where we live with our children and chickens. Our food and farming philosophy leads us to use local and fresh ingredients whenever possible. We love the summer months when we can use vegetables and herbs from our fields and greenhouses. We use local milk and dairy products, flour from King Arthur Flour, and eggs from our own chickens.

In our wood fired oven, we create handcrafted pizzas with a thin, crisp crust. We start the fire early in the morning, and after baking bread halfway through the day, we feed the fire again until the dome shaped oven heats up to the right temperature for baking pizzas. The pizzas then only require a few minutes to cook. This quick baking time creates an intense, unique flavor unlike any other.

Our artisan style breads are hand formed and baked on the hearth of the wood oven, giving them a unique smoky flavor and rustic appearance. We pay attention to the time and handwork that turns simple ingredients, flour, water, yeast and salt into a complex, soul satisfying food. In our bakery, we also make cookies, tarts, French pastries, and home-made gelato using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible.

We are open year-round; click for our current hours. Take out only. Outdoor dining on picnic tables is available during nice weather.
